Sir William Osler Elementary School-2016
Wismer Foundation chose to gift $8,000 to the HWDSB-Sir William Osler Elementary School to assist with the revamping of their playground, to once again enable children to gain the benefits of physical fitness and awareness...
Glendale Secondary School-Wismer Wellness Wing-2015
The Wismer Foundation and Kids Count Sports Matter donated $10,000 to assist with the development of the Wismer Wellness Wing at Glendale Secondary School. This monetary award enabled Glendale to purchase more athletic equipment allowing student athletes to maximize their physical activity with a specific room that was allotted with exercise equipment and open to students at any given time.
Children's Wish Foundation- 2013
Once again, Kids Count, Sports Matter and Wismer Foundation donated $8000.00 to the Children’s Wish Foundation. This would not be possible without the generous support that we receive at our annual Golf Tournament and dinner.

Kids Count, Sports Matter and Wismer Foundation donated $8000.00 to the Children’s Wish Foundation. The Children's Wish Foundation was one of John WIsmer's favourite charities and therefore on the 10th Anniversary of his passing, we chose to donate to this worthy cause!
Hillcrest Elementary School- 2011
Kids Count, Sports Matter donated $4,000 to the HWDSB to assist Hillcrest School with the purchase of turf to enhance their soccer sport academy.
The Sport Academy at the middle-school level provides a supportive learning environment and flexible timetabling to allow students enrolled in the program the opportunity to significantly advance their athletic skills while achieving a high level of academic success. Students in The Sport Academy Program benefit from a strong partnership with McMaster University.The Sport Academy is focused on Health and Wellness programming and soccer specific training. Hillcrest students access the new training facility where National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) certified staff implement a cardio-vascular and strength conditioning program for student athletes.

Barton Secondary School- 2009
Kids Count, Sports Matter donated $14,000 to the HWDSB to assist Barton High School with the purchase of athletic equipment to improve their fitness facilities.
Gatestone School- 2008
Kids Count, Sports Matter donated $15,000 to Gatestone School and Community Centre to assist with the purchase of athletic equipment to establish a fitness room.
The Wismer Foundation Golf Tournament and Coaching Award Presentation Dinner is the primary FUNDRAISER to support the foundation. This event hosts the presentation of the Wismer Award for High School Coaching Excellence. The tournament is being held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Carlisle Golf and Country Club located at 523 Carlisle Road, Carlisle, Ontario.
Nomination deadline for the 15th Annual Wismer Award for High School Coaching Excellence is April 24, 2018. Nominations received after April 24th will be considered for the 2018/19 Award on May 28, 2019.
